I am looking to buy a macro lens in the next 6 weeks or so i currently own a nikon d90 with a 18-105 mm vr lens.
I want to buy a macro lens but am unsure as to which one to buy i will have a budget of approximately 300 -350.
Any response is much appreciated!!

Tamron 90mm is a pretty good shout for that price. The IQ is good, the downside is that it hunts a lot in low light and the AF motor isn't the quietest. However depending on what you are doing 9 times out of 10 you manual focus when doing macro work so a noisy motor is not really a big deal. Incidentally it doubels up quite nicely as a portrait lens too.

all these shots

were done with a tamron 90 on a sony A700. Appart from my bad composition is some the shots are pretty sharp especially the Ketchup bottle one

ok thanks both my uncle and cousin have this lens and have said its good i was just wondering if there were any others slighlty more expensive that are better or is it quite a big jump to a better macro lens than this particular one?

Nikon 105 mm F2.8

The newer one can be had for less than £500 second hand. They come up on hear quite regularly, which is where I got mine from! It also makes a great portrait lens and can be used with Nikon TC's too.
