Yes
So for the past few years I've been tempted to get the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. I looked up the review of the Sigma version however and it's apparently just as good but a lot cheaper. Similarly, the 150mm Sigma macro lens is also cheaper than the Nikon but still really good and of course has the extra reach.

So what do people think? I'm more inclined to get the 105mm Sigma but then I could have the 150mm Sigma for not too much more.

Thanks :)

I've had both sigma's on a D300 and if you can, go for the 150mm is is a cracking lens, not just for macro, it also has a longer working distance than the 105mm and internal focussing with a lovely creamy bokeh

But that would mean more money, waaah!

Thanks for the input :)

I've had all the lenses mentioned and many more and currently have the sigma 150.

Get the siggy 150!!

:agree: with Tom....

I've always had the Sig 150mm even sold one to get a Nikon 60mm AF-D then sold that the same day & brought the Sig 150mm again as didn't like the Nikon AF-D :cuckoo:....

 I'm selling mine yet again to free some cash which is currently in the sales thread :naughty:

Yes I noticed, but there's one I'm bidding on on eBay that's currently at £227, and I've seen them go for £350 looking at completed listings. Not that I have £350 spare right this minute!

You mean the one that doesn't have the original padded case but has a Nikon one....

105mm VR for me, though macro is the one time I miss the Canon and the amazing 65mm MP-E :'(
