Which Lens

Im going to be shooting an air show in june, i know its early but i want to get it sorted out, im going to be hiring the lens but could anyone tell me a good lens, zoom or prime?? its my 1st air show and want to get some great shots.

Most people would (and do!) go for the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM.

The EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM is a bit sharper and a bit lighter but nowhere near as flexible.

I've seen some acceptable results on the Sigma 150-500 but this lens requires good weather to perform.
