hi all

i intend to buy a 7d when i get back from holiday

but undecided which lens

the two are 15-85 is usm or 24-105 i will not be upgrading to FF

Theres been a few post about this before and most agree the 15-85mm has a higher iq and is a better lens for a APS-C, I have this lens myself and its a great lens as an all round walkabout lens but given the choice again i might have got the 17-55mm f2.8 is usm instead.
 
The 15-85, it's a superb lens great IQ and a good focal range, 24mm is not quite wide enough on a crop camera, the 24-105 is a good lens bt you would really need a wide angle, say 11-20 to back it up.
 
If you can afford it, the 17-55mm is amazing, I had one with my old 30D.

think im going with the 15-85 and a 70-300

this will then give me a few pounds less to save for a 400 f5.6 as
airshows and lowfly are my thing
