If you go to the canon website, and then to the shop (where to buy> canon store)

Accesories, cameras, EF lenses, cases, for lens X

you can also find hoods this way by going Accesories, cameras, EF lenses, hoods, for lens X

Ok thanks!
Whilst you mention the hoods, Ill ask another quick question!

I never noticed untill the other day when i got hoods for my 17-55 and 70-300, but the hood for the 10-22 doesnt fit on in a reverse style (sorry i explained that horribly, but i think you get what i mean)! the other two hoods do though!

Anyone elso found this about the 10-22 hood, or is it just mine!

Just yours.

I've handled a few 10-22s over the past week and not had any problems.

Ok thanks, Think the link is wrong though!

I dunno i tried it again and it works now :bonk: sorry!
Do you guys fit the hoods in reverse when you store lenses in your bag? or do you keep the hoods in a seperate comparment? I dont want to damage them you see!

It'll be jolly hard to damage the hoods!

I personally keep the hood off my 10-22, as it's just gigantic compared to the lens. It'd end up eating up valuable bag space.

If you have the LP1319 pouch, that's wide enough to take the lens with the hood reversed and mounted. But it does make it a slightly awkward shape. If space in your camera bag is at a premium, you'll probably find it easier to stow them separately. (But in that case you don't need/want the LP1319 pouch - it's much too big for the lens without the hood.)

I always store lenses with the hood reversed.
Hoods are cheap, lenses aren't. The hood will provide protection even when in the bag - your bag takes a side impact & the lens in that location has a hood reversed - no problem. If the hood is not there then the body of the lens takes the full impact.
