Which lens now?

So i have my 100-400m L F4.5-5.6 IS USM
I also have my EF 50mm 1.8 MK11
I think i am now looking for something in the range for landscapes and maybe people shots,probably a canon L lens,any suggestions welcome.:)
 
Completely off topic, but where is Corfu, my father has just finished building a house of there in Kokini.

If you want L for landscapes I'd have a look at the 17-40L if you can accept non-L the 17-55 f2.8 IS is worth a look. Really wide leaves you no L options with the 10-22 being your best bet.

I think i will try & see what price i can get on the 17-40mmL,that sounds good.:)

The Canon 16-35L f/2.8,17-40L f/4 and 24-105L f/4 are the obvious L lenses and certainly the way to go if you are contemplating full frame in the future.However if that is unlikely then I would take a look at the fast "walkabouts".The Canon 17-55f/2.8 is built like a tank and the Tamron and Sigma equivalents although not built as well are serious competition.The advantage of these lenses in my view is that they are good for both landscape and people with the added benefit of a constant f/2.8.Worth considering as your lower light options are presently limited to your nifty fifty.

Well i dont think i will be going to a full frame camera,i think i would rather get the best glass i can afford for my existing camera,still looking around yet,thanks for your input.:)
 
Wow The Canon 17-55f/2.8 is a great looking lens,but its a little bit pricey just now,so will keep looking.:)
 
The Tamron 17-50 and the new Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 are both excellent alternatives.The review sites give them excellent marks and stopped down for landscape they are both exceptionally sharp.Whilst the build quality is not up to the Canon standard it is pretty good and much lighter in the kit bag.

24-105, a great walkabout lens and wide enough for most landscapes.
 
all my lens are L lens except my landscape one which is the 10-20 sigma one. I think its a fab lens thats why I have never changed it.I also have the 24-105 and its a great walkabout lens but just remember if you have a crop sensor you will not get the benefit of the full width but it is still good enough for me and I have a crop camera.
