Which lens hood for Minolta 70-210mm f4 (Beercan)

You can sometimes pick up the original ones on Ebay, I have seen them go for between £15 & £25.

Do you have a link to one of these that Minolta sells ?

The lens was first introduced in about 1985 and ceased production in the early 90's.

I did a bit of research oldfella, and there are many kinds available - flower type, 3 stage rubber thingys, all manner of different hoods. I was hoping for some specific advice as to the most suitable from someone with knowledge.

Can I suggest that if you feel the need to moan about something, either phone the council about streetlighting in your area, or write to the Daily Mail about asylum seekers, coming over here, stealing all our jobs, being given mansions to live in etc etc etc.

I'm sure that will occupy your day quite nicely.

And anyway, Countdown will be on soon.

I have one of the cheap ebay rubber jobs on my canon 70-210 f4 and it seems to do the job perfectly, it's also realy convenient as you can just fold it back for storage. I don't think a petal is really suitable for a lens of this length if you look at the hoods been sold on similar models currently in production.
