So there is Adobe photoshop student edition and there is Adobe photoshop. Whats the difference apart from about £350?

They are exactly the same. Adobe do HUGE discounts to qualified students.

Oh yes .... I got Lightroom for just over £80 as I am a full time Master's student. What a good saving ... once CS4 is out I am sure I will get it too.

I am not sure, but I "hear" it's a few weeks away .. which isn't long at all by my needs.
