Which is THE one for you?

35mm sucks once you've gone medium format or larger. I can't bring myself to sell my mamiya 645 or my Fuji GW690 III. They take such damn good images, especially the fuji.

I'll let you know in a while as my first film (Pan F) taken on the Hasselblad H1 is in the dryer as I type, but at the moment it would be my OM4Ti although I bought a SMC 50mm f1.4 for the LX so that my change once it has arrived. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I had an LX years ago and just didn't like it that much for absolutely no logical reason I can think of. I particularly disliked those studs on the front and the clip on grip arrangement but other than it was great - I just never bonded with it at all.

You will love that lens, I love mine, I just wish there was a way I could make it work on the Ti!

well - much as I love my EOS-3 and the A-1, and all the lenses that go with them, IF I HAD to get rid of all but one film camera, the one i'd keep would have to be the Bronica ETRSi - for the simple reason that a good friend of mine gave me a 40mm F4 Zenzanon to go with the kit 75mm, a very generous act I thought.

Two days later, he came home from work, lay down on the sofa after his dinner, and died of a heart attack. I don't think I could EVER bring myself to get rid of that lens, or the camera to make use of it since that happened.

Here's a dark and dusty photo of the camera - with the kit lens fitted, IIRC

Based on looks, and sex appeal, it's my Horseman LX-C

But on practical useability it has to be my Fuji 690 which has travelled the world with me

This thread should have NSFW by it, pure unadulterated porn.

Not mine I'm afraid (I have the same model though). Rollei's really are absolutely gorgeous things.

I personally don't have the never-ready case, they really are pointless, although pretty. I prefer to use a modern Lowepro case.

Oh I agree the ER cases are a pain - they do add to the value though. That one must be worth a mint?

For me it has to be my Canon EF + 85 1.8 lens. Never lets me down, lovely and solid, wonderful to use.

Yeah, I've put the case away for my Rollei. It looks nice, but it really gets in the way. Then reloading film into it takes even longer, and loading it without a case takes enough time as it is!

What a fantastic and varied collection of cameras. It's a good thing we don't all like the same things.

Indeed, life would be very boring if we agreed on everything, well and there would be a massive demand for 1 particular body/lens :D

I gave this a lot of thought and I guess it has to be.

The meter on mine doesn't work, and I justified it by getting rid of various unused photographic items (both film and digital). It is my go-to film camera, my go-to medium format camera and for all intents and purposes its my only working 6x6, only working TLR and the one I pick up when I want to do some shooting.

Nick, that is a beast of a camera and I want one.

How tall are you, Nick? That thing just looks a bit like an over-sized clown toy.

 I'm 6ft something, it's quite a big camera but it's a portable-ish alternative to large format quality. I just used a few rolls today actually, I'll post 'em later
