I'm planning to go and buy a Fuji this weekend, either in the shop or internet. Unsure to buy new or use at the moment. Coming from a Nikon D700 user (I still own a D3 and pro lens) I want something similar to that but a bit less weight and possibly a bit smaller. Something that could potentially backup the D3 if that fails.
With my budget I can only stretch for something like XT-10 or XT-1. I got around £700 to spend on a Fuji. May put a bit more depend what I'm getting.
I will go try these camera out on Saturday but is always good to have some expectation on these bodies.
Ideally I'm interest on the 35mm f1.4 lens. Here are my options:
1) Brand new XT-10 (with cash back) is £370 and 35mm f1.4 (with cash back) is £450 = £820
or
2) Brand new XT10 with 16-50mm £470 (inc cash back) and have spare cash to put towards a used 35mm f1.4
or
3) Brand new XT10 with 18-55mm £640 (in cash back)
or
4) Fuji refurbhish XT-1 with 18-55mm £830
It seems my only realistic option to get the 35mm is with the XT10.
What are the handling of the XT1 and XT10 like compare to a ungrip Nikon D700?
