hi guys,

for my picture editing i currently use a pc laptop with photoshop cs2. i wanna upgrade to a stand alone and to cs3. a friend of mine has said he will build me a pc with vista on it that will run several demanding programs without a worry. today i was informed that i should be looking at apple mac's or i-macs because theses are better safer and preferred in the pro world.

can anyone tell me whether i should go with the pc or get myself a mac?

Depends what you prefer really.

Macs and PCs do pretty much the same thing these days.

I personally prefer Macs way more than PCs, they are nicer to use, more stable (especially now with Windows Vista which is in my opinion complete rubbish, its worse than XP) and I feel that you can get your work done faster on a Mac than on a PC.

I use both, PC and Mac (I use the PC mostly because I have to use it for Uni, if I didnt i'd use a Mac).

But apparently you haven't yet found out you can run Windows and Mac OS (and Linux, if you want) side-by-side, simultaneously, on current Macs, 8utter. So, you can Drag & Drop from one to the other. No extra machines, cables, networks, or conversions, neccessary.
