Which is best pp?

I have been playing around with the free Lightroom 4 and although I sometimes use DXO Optics Pro for my workflow I thought I would run a comparison between the 2 programs and see the difference I was quite supprised as I can see a vast difference and I am not 100% sure now which is the best approach?

perhaps its my eyes getting too old like the cat? but advice greatly needed, must say that exactly the same settings used in both programs as far as I could see!

They won't be the same colour conversions though. Have to say LR seems to be better to me (not knowing the colour of your cat) for colour rendition. It also looks sharper...

The colour on the second image look right to me were as the first looks to warm/red

You would also need to see 100% crops to check quality as all correctly exposed and focused image look good at web size.
