Which flash for canon - 200 pound budget

hello guys im in need for some help,
im just getting into photography and in need of some extra flash power,

ive got a budget of 200 pounds ive looked at the canon 430ex ii or the nissin di866 can you recommend me either or another alternative,

That Nissin gun also acts as master unit, which allows you to control remote slave guns wirelessly with full E-TTL auto exposure (like the more expensive Canon 580EXII). Worth it for that alone, if that's ever a feature you're likely to use.

Metz 50 AF-2 is also good.

Got one and it does an admirable job.

Peeps tend to forget Sunpak have been making flashguns for over 40 years so they must get it right sometimes.

I picked mine up brand new for £125
 
Thanks for the help guys i dont think il be using the master wireless control that the nissin offers, i like the front fil flash and the power

I will look at the metz not too keen on the sunpak i dont think

Will the canon offer better auto features with the 550d?
 
I'd go with the canon, the Metz ones are good also. The front fill light on my Metz at least is more of a gimmick, better to use the pop up card or similar reflector instead. No experience of Nissin here though..

I have 4x 580exII and I love them. For your budget go for the 430exII and read the manual back to front.
