Can somone advise on basic set up for macro using extension tubes, require some for my 50D and 50mm 1.4, don't want to spend alot just to set me up. have a reversing ring but thats to close,

i could go FD/EF fitting and choose some old ones would this be better.

No, you want auto tubes or you can't close down the aperture.

I use a set of Kenkos which are very popular, on my 70-200L and that's a very versatile combo. £120 though I think there are cheaper sets like these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Opteka-Focu...eras/sim/B0030C2W4C/2/ref=pd_sxp_grid_mlt_0_1 but I don't know how good they are. Don't see how you can go far wrong though - just don't hang a heavy lens off them without support!

Hi found a set 13 21 31mm AF canon fit EF and EF-S these are auto focus are the distances OK 13mm 21mm 31mm i suppose you can add or remove for a shorter or greater length.
