Which enlarger timer?

Picked up a nice LPL 7700 last night but haven't got a timer for it, how do I know what ones will work with it?

Think it's the same kind we have in college so going to look at what timers they have and maybe try get the same.

Timers are timers generally, the biggest problem is the different plugs they use. Providing you've happy chopping and swapping plugs then the world is your oyster.

If I were you I'd avoid mechanical ones and look out for a durst digital time on ebay.

Aye, it was the plug I was worried about. I'm fairly happy rewiring a plug, only things that'd concern me would be, if rewiring a 3 pin plug to a 2 pin, what does one do with the 3rd wire and making sure I don't get a timer that needs some obscure, hard to find plug.

Had a look in the college darkroom and they are using Paterson, Jessops and Durst Labotim timers with their 7700s and they seem to use the plugs I already have, they also had a couple other oddities but they were using round 2 pin plugs and stuff so going to try and avoid those.
