Which DSLR for me, advice please.

I dont know the cameras at all.
However, do to your local camera shop and try them. Go and hold them, they must feel right to hold. try them with a variety of lenses etc so that when you get lenses you wil know they wont be to heavy etc.
Read up about them on here and other web pages, reviews etc. Also check out the price range of accesories, you dont wanna get something then not be able to afford bits and pieces for it!

The D80 will be the most modern of your choices, the D70s is a bit old hat now, things have moved on a bit since it was launched, the D80 is the only camera in your list which is still current and can use virtually every lens Nikon ever made, canon cameras need EF or Ef-s lenses so your choice is a bit more limited.
I've had a 20D and a 30D and sold them both and gone back to Nikon first with a D200 then a D300, have you considered the D200, they can be had for under £400 secondhand now.

Another vote for the D200 here, it is slightly more robust than the D80, however they have the same sensor and the D80 is better at handling noise at Hi ISO's

Limited? lol, there are literally thousands of EF/EF-S lenses?. And with an ass load of cheap 3rd party choices too (Tamron, Sigma etcetc).
I say Canon 30D btw, much nicer menu system, higher build quality (imo), I prefer the 'feel' of the camera. Screen on the 20D is a bit small for me, but it's still a perfectly capable camera. Cheap extras (again, third party from the bay. £4 batteries that outlast Canon batteries (1000+ shots per charge), cheap as chips CF etc). Plus I prefer an image from a 30D to a D80, they're warmer and for some reason that suits me more. Yup the D80 suffers (ever so slightly) less at high ISO's, but by the time that really starts to effect you imo it's time to move past consumer Canon all together.
