Yes
I've decided I don't watch enough TV ;)

Actually, I just fancy trying something new and I've never got into these - are they all much of a muchness, or should I start with one and work onto another?

Don't want to watch one only to find out it's the bad one - my TV time is precious!

Cheers,
James

The women are better in NCIS
( that should be good for an arguement :D)

i am hooked on all of the CSi's, they are all great, watch them im sure you will love them,:thumbs:

I love all the CSI series but my favourite is CSI:NY, more gritty and more interesting characters.

I enjoy CSI, however I'm getting to the stage where a lot are repeats. All new for you! Enjoy

Im a CSI vegas fan i am loyal to my grissom i is

:thumb: Sasha Alexander (NCIS Kate Todd) is my favourite woman on TV, but Liz Vassey ( CSI Vegas lab tech Wendy Simms) gives her a very good run for my money.

Now back to topic, I watch all the CSI shows, and would agree that CSI:NY is the gritter show and probably the best followed by CSI and CSI:Miami last.

I'd have to say CSI: Glasgow

Consider the scene. A man is engrossed in a private passion when from 36000 feet a small meteor of blue ice, not the size of a football, crashes through his roof killing him instantly.

CSI: Miami

Within the hour, CSI Miami arrive, they take samples, temperatures, they shine a laser up through the holes in the ceilings to verify trajectories. In another hour they have the flight path of the plane and the name of the stewardess who pressed the button.

CSI: Glasgow.

Three days later, CSI Glasgow kick in the door.
They are appalled by the crockery in the sink and the piles of bed linen awaiting laundry uplift. They step round the body, sneering at the red tartan pyjamas. The blue ice has melted over a pleasing Turkish rug.

“What a stink!”
“Jesus look at this, he’s been so drunk he never made it to the bog”
“Dirty…drunken…*******”
“Aye.”
“Christ look at that”
“What?”
“There’s a hole in the roof and the lazy ****er hasn’t even put a bit of felt over it.”
“What an ********.”
“Drink is a terrible thing”
“You said it mate”
“Right, call it in, I’ll see if there’s any whisky left in the house.”

As they return to their flashing car, they comment on the state of Scottish alcoholism.

“Did you see how his **** was stuck in that syrup tin?”
“ Yeah. Now, that WAS ****ing weird.”

I'd agree with whiteflyer here - Also if you want to give your retinas a good workout check out the MTV editing on CSI:Miami (& the hilarious sight of the female characters all turning up at crime scenes in their designer suits & stilettos!)

I must be the only one who prefers CSI:Miami. I like it cos it is atrociously glammed up. And I love Horatio's "The Walk Away", we have a bet at the beginning to see how many times he does it in one episode. The Walk Away for anyone who hasn't watched it is Horatio delivers a one liner then puts his glasses on one-handed in what he probably thinks is an uber-cool way and then exits stage right or stage left :lol:

One of the trailers for CSI:Miami even had a montage of "Walk-aways". I can't get on to You Tube from work but I'll try and see if it's on there later

We hadn't watched them before, but saw that Living TV have were showing all the original CSI's from the beginning, with a new episode every night. Unfortunately the missus and I are struggling to keep up, so the Sky+ box is getting very very full!!?? :D

Has anyone watched Generation Kill on FX - I like!! Very gritty, just like The Wire!! :)

Yeah, we say COCK (in a Clarksonesque manner) whenever he does the one liner/sunglasses routine.:D

I used to love Vegas and not the other two so much - NY took a couple of seasons and repeats for me to get into as much; now I'd say NY > Vegas (especialy the new series, just isn't the same :( but the lab rats are appearing more and more :)) > Miami

NCIS is cool too :)
Without a Trace is really interesting, and has crossovers with CSI Vegas
Never really watched Law and Order (and L&O: Criminal Intent) but they are meant to be very good too.

Non-detective style - ER :D:D:D:D got seasons 1-3 on DVD, less than a tenner for a whole season off Amazon, about 26 episodes whereas CSI is about £15 for half a season (13 episodes)

1. CSI Las Vegas - Can't beat Grissom for his love of all things horrible. Nothing better than the episode where they were looking for lost kids after finding bones down the sewer pipe. Grissom then decides to test how fast flesh decomposes by placing a piglet in a tank of water and number 1's & 2's. :gag:

3. CSI NY - The whole NY sassy talk is brilliant and more lifelike with a city that big.

4. CSI Catwalk - Don't like Miami as Paulboy mentioned, people turning up at Crime scenes in designer gear. Also driving Hummers round South Beach, such big hills down there :D

Love NCIS especially Abbie doing all the tech stuff whilst drinking a huge soda bucket of Caf-Pow.

Numb3rs is also pretty good as well

All my favourite shows in one thread
My order of preference has to be
NCIS
Numbers
New York
Criminal Minds
Criminal Intent
Vegas

Have just about given up watching Miami. The glasses on, cheesy line and exit were getting too much. Also got fed up of whatsername almost in tears over every dead body. you would think she might get a little used to it after a while.

Love 'em all except Miami - Horatio is possibly one of the most annoying characters on TV... He cannot look anyone in the face and insists on calling everyone Mr. something.

New York and Vegas is probably my fave of all that style of show...

Vegas > NY > Miami.

And this is the reason why.

Anyone remember the episode when he parks the SUV with a bomb in it out the outskirts of the city, and take his glasses off. Then whilst he's walking way in slow motion and it explodes he puts them back on again!

YEEEAAAAH!
