Hello All,

As the title says need some advise on which CSC Mirrorless camera to purchase.

Due to circumstances, I'll be starting again from scratch i.e no longer have any glass etc. and have a budget of up to £1000 (don't mind searching for secondhand bodies and lenses) and would prefer the camera to have 4k video facility NOT a deal breaker though.

Looking at reviews it seems to be either Sony or Fuji are the main contenders,

Hopefully you guys n girls can give some positive advise.

I’m very very happy with my Canon M6 - AF is really fast when used with my normal Canon lens. However, I do understand that there are better “spec’d” models out there that people rave about - for what it’s worth though, I’m very happy with mine! Ideal for wildlife!

Really depends on what you're after and what you intend on shooting.

Lighter gear - Panasonic/Olympus.

Something in the middle - Fuji, Sony, Canon.

Full frame goodness - Sony.

The Sony A6000 is capable of superb quality and when it comes to lower light shots will easily better m4/3rds cameras, i.e Panasonic/Olympus. There is one for sale on here for £270.00.

N.b No connection to the seller but I do have personal experience og the A6000.

Some idea of what you want to photograph would be helpful, so we can perhaps form at least a vague idea concerning what kind of lenses you would need.

Your current question is a bit like asking what kind of car to buy without mentioning whether it's for commuting, ferrying six teenagers around, lapping the Nurburgring, or whatever.

I switched from Canon to Fuji about five years ago and have been very happy with the results.
Started off with a X-E1 and 18-55 to give it a try, all went well and stayed with it, minor niggles, but there's no perfect camera

No doubt the other makers gear is good too, but can only comment on what I have used

Bit of a sales plug, but also meant to be helpful should you want something decent secondhand
I have a nearly new Fuji X-E3 I would take offers on before I part exchange it for lenses in the near future, its in the classifieds.

Oooh, Contentious! Debateable! :D The "easily" bit I mean... and you really should factor in the more complete MFT lens selection.

Sorry for the late reply didn't have the alert switched on :(.

I generally shoot Portraits and people.

Not really looking to buy into the MFT system.

Thanks.
