which compact for our budget ?

right so here goes

we are after a new compact camera and we do have a budget which is up to £150

we know it isnt alot but we were hoping to be able to get something rather good for this amount of money.
our old camera is a fuji finepix dont know exact model but it was quite good.

one thing we do need the new camera to do is be rather very good at close-ups.
we are massive reptile keepers and need a camera which will pick up the smallest details and pick up all the scales on our animals.

we also need it to be able to take a very good photo indoors as well as outdoors.

i think tahts about it really hope it makes sense to you all.

When you say compact, would you consider a bridge camera?

what would be a bridge camera ?

i just thought it was compact or dslr

Sorry - a bridge camera is bigger than a regular compact but still has a fixed lens. They generally have longer zooms on them and manual controls which your average compact won't have.

I only ask because Fuji seem to have a good range of affordable bridge cameras - although I couldn't tell you which is the best.
