Received a Jessops 8" Digital frame today and a quick search brings up very positive reviews.

However, me probably being overly critical, the display of the images isn't "perfect" (certainly nowhere near as good as my [calibrated] Dell IPS monitor).

Maybe comparing the output from an expensive calibrated monitor with a relatively inexpensive digital frame is like chalk & cheese.

Can anybody advise on what typically the best colour space is for digital frames? (no mention in the instructions).

Or even better, if anyone has this frame, what frame setup settings do you find work best?

Thanks
Gary

sRGB.

It will not be a wide gamut panel in a cheap digiframe... so sRGB.

That doesn't mean it will look as good as your monitor though... correct colorspace or not.

However... the software on the frame will probably not be recognising any colour profiles whatsoever.. so make sure you CONVERT the images to sRGB.. not embed them. You shouldn't really ever use embed anyway.. but that's a matter for another day :)

Have a play with a few different settings based on how the pictures look as original files. Keep a note of the changes made so you know what to do to future pics to get them looking as good as possible on the frame.
