Which Canon Lens Next Please?

Have Sigma 10-20mm, Canon 24-105mm, Canon 60mm Macro.

Planning to buy next lens for the kit.

Any ideas?

100-400 woud fit very nicely on the end of that group.

exactly the 2 i was going to suggest, or a Tamron 90mm macro lens

I know these are very very dear but what do U think about the f2.8 ones IS or non-IS. Is there really a BIG difference between the f4 & F2.8?

And also I was thinking of upgrading my 350D to a 400D instead of a 40D as I an not a sports photographer to use the 6.5 fps on a 40D and between the 2,5 and 3 inch screen, I don't see a considerable difference.

The price diff. between the above 2 models is nearly double which I can use for a nice set of glass.

I am a bit confused here guys. Any suggestions?

Well, the obvious answer is a wider aperture... which means better low light performance and on the top end cameras also means faster focusing.

However the 2.8 is heavier than the 4 and IS on either makes them heavier again.

All versions of this lens are absolutely cracking, choose whichever one you need/can afford.

That's fantastic Desantnik. I think I will stick with 400D and buy a decent set of glass instead.
