Which Canon for moving shots?

have a look at the 80d I suggested before, the new sensor is great and the auto focus is rated well
And without a lens it costs just a bit more than Donnas budget :(

she is talking about a 7d mk11 now so not much in it really!
edit. but I still think your advice on a 7d mk1 is the way to go. they are great cameras

If the budget was higher I'd recommend an 80d, so there y go ;)

I'm still a believer of buying the best glass you can. Unless you're really blowing up images or doing a lot of PP you won't notice much difference in most general shots. Sure if you're doing it for work you would want a top of the line body, but the lens is the thing that's going to make a bigger difference.

Personally, if I was looking at spending more, I'd still settle on a 7d and buy a Canon 70-200 2.8 ii, or buy a Sigma 70-200 2.8 and a general zoom like the 24-70mm. Plus, lenses hold value much better if you do decide you want a better body down the line, so you could always sell them to put towards a new body.

Agree with the glass. Plus if you go 70-200 it's good for full frame if you ever go that path again.
