For some inexplicable reason i find myself drawn to shooting film again :cuckoo:... so which Canon body should i be looking at , that i can use my EF lens's with ?

EOS 3 here too

or 5, but make sure the command dial is ok, as the break on the 5

I have a couple of 3's and a 5, ebay is your friend here :-)

altho, I will be just keeping one of mine

Another vote for the EOS 3.

The EOS 3 is certainly a lovely camera and well worth a look. However if your main concern is compatibility with your EF lenses then there are a host of suitable EOS cameras. A couple of more affordable suggestions for investigation would be the EOS 5, already mentioned, which is an excellent camera and the EOS 600 or 630 (same thing) which were good tools in their day. A fun camera to own if you can find a good one would be an EOS RT, which is essentially an EOS 630 with a pellicle mirror.

Eos 3 funny enough i put a roll of fp4 through mine last week now im building up the courage to go back into the dark room it's in my garden shed have'nt been in there for about 6 months

You can pick up the first of the mass market AF bodies, the 1000FN, now for an absolute song.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - I'll go and read some reviews now

EOS-3 all the way - had a EOS-5 for a while, nice enough camera but not a patch on the EOS-3. Problem is, it handles so nicely, the only digi body that i've tried since that compares with it is the 5Dii

THanks for the link and all the recommendations - I'm going to try and find EOS-3 but looking at evilbay the prices apper to vary wildly and its not alway condition related.

do you want to borrow my EOS50? I havent used it in 4 years so it might be an infinite lending period... :)

I'm going to put in a vote for the good old Canon EOS600, really cracking camera in its day, 5fps drive and built like a tank.

I've got two of them, both mint and fully working which i picked up for £7 and £8 respectively.... Bargains of the decade!!

 hahaha... what do I know about lens compatibility on Canoons?

I use Nikon...:D

Which is proof that Nikon engineers are a superior breed. They can use the same lens mount for fifty years and adapt it to various new technologies.

Steve.

Well I took the plunge at got a loverly condition EOS-3:) - all i need is a break in the weather so i can get out a put a roll of film through it :D

the only problem is that i'll need to shoot with my glasses on as there's no diopter adjustment on the viewfinder and i thought it had a focus issue to start with

as I dont wear glasses, I dont really know ... but would contacts be the answer to the focus issue ?

It's a slight pain having to wear glasses with the EOS 3, but the eye control works for me even with specs. The more often you run the calibration procedure the more reliable it gets.
