Which camera for motorsport?

Hi all, i'm after some advice on behalf of someone else as its really not my area. I have a friend who wants to get into photography at motor sport events (just as a hobby) and he's asked me between the d3200 and d5100 which would be the best. Does anyone have any views on this or suggest a better camera in same price range (maybe second hand) that would be better?

Not so much which camera as which lens........ What sort of budget does your friend have for a camera body and lens.... with more importance on the lens as a major part of his/her budget depending on what type of motorsport your friend wants to photograph...... Rallying, motorbikes, cars all have slightly different requirements.

As for a camera body, with practice you could use a beginner/intermediate/pro body, the importance lies in what lens you put on the camera.
