Hi

Now my little lad is starting to show some interest in photography.
He is currently using a Fuji S8000fd but I am looking to buy him a 2nd hand bridge camera something like the Fuji s6500fd which has a manual focusing ring. I did consider a DSLR but at this stage its more than i want 2 spend.

I think this is the next step getting him to learn manual zoom/focusing. The only reservation i have with the s6500fd is it doesnt have image stabilization. Any ideas/thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Mav

Look out for a used Fuji S100fs, great camera and has most features of dslr but no need to change lenses. great for learning manual focus etc and has IS etc.
Once he out grows the S100fs then he'll be ready for a dslr but it will keep him busy for quite a while and gets some great shots while he's at it!
