Hi all, first off i did a quick search but couldnt find anything. Now Can anyone recommend any books on photography. Now i can "use" my camera but im still having trouble understanding selecting the right settings and exposure etc. And would like to get abit more understanding and how to as someone else said "see and take " a picture. Does anyone know of any books they think would be any good to me. Ive had a look at Undertanding exposure and thats on the maybe list. Just wanted to see what others thought about it. Also what about the Scott kelby collection? Any others worth a look? Or any of these any good?

I have 2 x books by Scott Selby, and also "Understanding Exposure". Learnt a lot from them. Excellent:thumbs:

a good book from Amazon ..........

"Creative Nature and Outdoor Photography" (Paperback)..by Brenda Tharp

I have the three small Scott Kelby books, they're good. A couple of the Michael Freeman books.. the Photographers Eye, and Perfect Exposure. Both excellent.

agree with john... i have all of the books he mentions... all have been read and re-read countless times

i also have a couple of books by Chris Weston that i would also highly recommend

yukioMishima

May want to consider magazines. They teach you tips and tricks on the use of exposure, flash, different settings, metering and photoshop skills. I personally recommend Digital Photo magazine.

Thanks all, all taken on board and thanks Nifkin that sites brill!
