Hi, i have made the ultimate mistake , i purchased a rapid quick draw strap from ebay, after some trial and error and a broken buckle its gone in the bin .I know people may have got good ones but mine was not ,it didnt feel comfortable, i have seen quite a few black rapids (genuine) on the net but i am not sure which one i would need, i will be carrying a 100-400is usm l. could any one please point me in the right direction as to which one would be suitable .Thanks

Sorry to hear you had bad luck with the one you bought. I have the RS7 and its really amazing, my biggest lens is a 70-200 f2.8 so not sure how that would compare to your 100-400

+1 for the RS7, my biggest kit is a D3 with 70-200 f2.8 too, it carries that easily and imagine it could carry a lot more comfortably. I'm not familiar with the strap you mention, do you think it was genuine?

I use the RS-7 with 100-400/7D no problem at all - just watch out you don't knock/hit anything with the lens dangling by your hip...

I've been toying with buying the RS7 for a while now, but not sure it's worth the money? I guess if I do I'll avoid eBay.

I've got the RS-Sport and I'd definitely recommend that - think it was around £70

Definitely worth it imo. Wish I got one 8 years ago. They are so comfortable.

I got the RS7 but was after the Sport which seems to be rare at the moment in the UK, so I just ordered the little under arm strap and job done.

Having now purchased the RS-4 and managed to get the idea of how it works, i can honestly say its worth the extra compared to the quick draw one ,as i have tried both .Twice as much but the quality is twice as good.
