Hi all,
I bought myself a jessops cheap flash a year or so ago and I tested it but never got round to using it. I realise you cant just use run of the mill duracells etc in it as theyll just drain. What batteries do people use? Im looking to get some rechargables obviously.

Thanks
Rob

I use 2800mAh Ni-Mh sourced from 7dayshop.
They seem to do the job well enough but at 1.2 volts , they could be a wee bit more powerful.
I'm yet to find and 'proper' 1.5 volt AA rechargeables but I'm lead to believe they do indeed exist.

Oh , I never use a fast charger.
I have one of those funky chargers from the Innovations catalogue that you can't get anymore.

If you do a search in the Lighting forum you'll find numerous threads with advice on which batteries are best and where to buy them ;)

Just been through this process. Most of the aforementioned threads will name the Eneloops as the best, with the Good To Go's as a cheaper alternative (both available from 7dayshop). Obviously, others are listed, but that would be a fair consensus.

There are usually a huuuuge number of recommendations for Eneloops at this point.

Mine seem to work well, they run at 1.4V where as my 'cheap ebay' 2800mah ones run at 1.25V - so they should work better really!

I use the 7day shop 2800's and they are SOOO much better than the Copper coloured tops... they re-charge the flash MUCH faster!!
