Here it is folks, we finally have a winner! Big thanks to Andy, Beccy and the staff at WHF for taking the time to judge this, and for having us all during the year.

The judges said:
The winner won due to having captured quite a difficult shot of action.
Well balanced, nice and sharp, perfectly timed even down to the rear left pad being on the ground and her right paw still in full contact. The tail leading into the shot with enough space for her to jump in to. Also no wire fence in the reflection on the waters surface. I'm pleased to see the colours are correctly balanced too. Very nicely taken.

Runner Up:

A great capture of two cats not often photographed together. A real capture of their characters.

Thanks to everyone who entered and who came to WHF this year, its a great place for us as photographers and its doing a very important job for rare species. There have been some outstanding images taken at these days and its a great pleasure to briefly meet some of you on the days ive been to meet and greet.

Neil, please drop me or Brian a PM so we can work out when is best for you to take your prize.

Well done Neil great capture

Fernface (brian) I told you it was a good shot, and that is one for certain that should be framed.

Congratulation Neil, yours is a cracking shot, well done:thumbs:

Thanks all, i wouldnt have like to judge it there were some great shot in there, can't believe ive won something

Well done Neil and Brian - both cracking shots.

Congratulations Neil that is a lovely picture,:clap:

congrats Neil, deserved on that, is a great shot

Brian, congrats to you as well

congrats mate... really great shot..

It was already difficult to get her jump across the pond, so capturing her in the perfect angle and perfect timing is even more challenging

For me, the best part about this shot is that she is looking at the camera (or really close) while jumping

Well done to everyone else as well though. I had a quick glance to the different WHF threads and they all had cracking shots

Well done Neil - great capture !

I was thinking of entering my jumping mountain cat - but as
a) didnt check my fps and was shooting in 2fps
b) forgot that cats arc when they jump
c) didnt think about the post sticking up vertically in front of me

So I have a pic of a jumping mountain cat or in effect I have a pic of four blurred paws at the top of the frame (and only the paws) - bisected by a post (it was a nice post)

:-( Not that I have nearly as good a photos but guessing we missed out on the 2010 comp seen as we only just went to WHF in Sept lol

Well done though to winner & runner up as cracking photos!

Congratulations to Neil and Brian - you're both very worthy of your prizes as they are fantastic shots

Can I just say thanks to everyone at TP towers that makes going to the WHF possible for us all each year. Second year I have been and can honestly say I enjoyed it just as much as the first - I can see this being a yearly thing for me now :)

Also thanks to everyone at the WHF for having us all back time and time again - you do a great job and it makes it all worthwhile to see the cats being cared for so well without all your hard work we wouldn't get the opportunity to see these fantastic cats so close up
