whats good here - well it's North Devon with all the beaches and Exmoor etc - so say no more really... Glad we moved back down here

Glasgow - Great architecture and lots of green space.

origonally tamworth in the midlands, - best thing, i live 5 mins drive from twycross zoo.
now up in angus, scotland, best thing is the open spaces and scenery

The new forest 15 miles away

Countryside and city all rolled into one
no crime

I'm from South Warrington / Cheshire - erm (I'll get back to you one that one)

Live in Perthshire now - great landscape - nice town - handy work wise as a central Scottish Location - great quality of life.

Stirling - "the gateway to the highlands"

Best thing is I only need to walk 5 minutes in almost any direction to be in open countryside. Oh, and there's loads of historic stuff round here too.

Colchester (essex)

Whats good here- Loads of things to shoot pictures for... If Hepburn wnats he can explain more :D

Where I am in Cheshire, there's countryside and historic towns & villages. Northwich and Nantwich are nice small towns, and of course Chester, which is a major tourist city. Tatton Park & Gardens, Dunham Massey, and many other parks/gardens & stately homes, and also the Peak District is just a few miles away.

middlesbrough.... cracks cheap ive heard,lol
oh and theres saltburn, whitby 20 miles away, york down the road, north yorkshire moors, roseberry topping, redcar coast.

Southampton.

what's good about it ? lots of routes out of it (road, sea, rail, air) :P

nah, seriously - there's lots of heritage in Southampton due to the walls etc. we also have one of the largest and most important ports in the South.

North East Cheshire - Within 30 minutes, I can be in Edale, Buxton, Lyme Park, Derwent Valley, Saddleworth Moors & Kinder Scout. Lovely.

West London originally, then Kidderminster in Worcs. Now I'm based in Leeds. What's good here? A thriving and buzzing city with some amazing architecture, both modern and old; not very far from some of the most beautiful countryside in the country, and the people are very friendly.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia!

What good about this place? It's sunny, almost 24/7; am only 9~10 hours away from Swansea (mind, that's a 6 hours flight and an hour into Paddington, plus 3 short hours all the way West). Lots of sand dunes, camels, and it's never bellow 30C :)

Oh yes, and petrol is about 10p a litre :p

Redcar beach was disgusting last time I was there

Originally from Newcastle and a good point is the drinking.. especially in the summer where there seems to a subconcious competition going on called 'who can wear the least clothes' throughout the entire summer.

.. and spring, autumn and winter come to think of it. :D

The Isle of Wight, what's good about it???

Umm beaches, umm more beaches, oh and some beaches

Cheers

Darren

Buuurrrmingham!
The people are lovely here, so friendly! I wouldn't dream of moving.

I live in Bovington, Dorset. We have the Tank Museum, which is awesome, as well as the home of the Royal Armoured Corps...nothing like a Cally 2 rolling past your house at 10pm

Originally I'm from Loughborough, in Leicestershire. Good things? hmmm...the road of oif the town is fantastic :D

The Isle of Wight.

Good points: There is a bit of sea between us and Southampton! (just joking).

Lots of coastal scenes and many miles of footpaths. 10% of the land is managed by the National Trust. (not sure if this is a good thing!).

Steve.

Right on the NW tip of North Yorkshire. 5 mins to Lancashire, 10 mins to Cumbria. 1 hour to lakes.

Oh and we have beautiful Waterfalls and a few Caves close by, and its quite a pretty village.

But you do need a car to get around or your stuffed.

I'm from Preston. We have the National Football Museum.

On our doorstep however we have the Lake District, Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester. What else could you possibly want?

We also have the M6, M55, M65 and M61 so if you want a road out then there are plenty to choose from.

Leyton, Orient (everybody's second favourite team apparently) used to have a good snooker hall, loads of footie pitches on Hackney Marshes and that's about it.

Now about to become extremely near the 2012 Olympic site, so probably not a bad place to be for a few years

South Devon

beaches...countryside.....pleasent people........dont hear much crime where i am........front page of local paper......HORSE ESCAPES.........

WOULD NOT LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE.

Big cities ok to visit but after two days I have had enough
