I'm looking to go to the Motor GP in a few weeks time and was wondering where to sit/stand. I'll have the wife with me so I don't mind paying for a stand, but I'd also like to get some photo's. I fancy the grandstand at Luffield from a spectator's point of view, but would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,
Steve

OK, i was hoping someone would ask this question.. When I was there for FIA GT i spotted the perfect grandstand spot for spectators.
edit: oh b****r i just looked at the track map, and that grandstand is replaced by VIP area for motogp :(

in that case i would say 'farm' grandstand. should be lots of passing there, and a really fast corner
although make sure you are at the 'club' end of that grandstand

Basically, the stand that you used to be able to watch them going through the old Abbey is good, they take a sharp right and go up to village.
Village should also be good.

Yup one more for Abbey.

I've been to the Renault Cup twice and always ended up down that end. The fence is low enough from that point for good photo's.

Remember to take enough to eat and drink, and something to cover your head if the sun comes out.
