Where to go this Saturday near Nottingham??

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any top locations in or around the Nottingham area?? I've managed to get a day away from 'her in doors' so dont want to waste it :shrug:
If anyone has any top weather-proof locations too that would be brilliant due to the un-predictable English weather??

Erm... i've heard the Queen is visiting Vernon Park, Basford at some point if that's your thing


Gunthorp is nice. It depends. What kind of location are you looking for?

Yeah I live just up the road from Gunthorpe, and on a sunny day it really is un-rivalled for shooting. I'd like to give anything a go and just experiment with landscapes, street photography and architectural photography.
Keen to go to Woolaton Park for a few shots of the house and the grounds, and think Hyson Green markets would be very good for street photography if it wasn't such a risky area :-s

Pmsl. You're ok in Hyson Green in the daytime

My girlfriend lives in Wollaton so i'm spending a lot of time there. you can get really close to the deer

Your to safe in Hyson Green anytime of the day are you ;-)!! Yeah Woolaton Park is brilliant though, I live down the road from Belvoir Castle too which is ace for photos as well
