Heya,

I am just wondering if anybody knows where the best places are for photographing landscapes near manchester are. Over summer i hope to try and get a few good pics before i start uni and have no time. I will by then own a DSLR and so want to widen my horizons so to speak.

Any ideas?

Jonny

hadfield and glossop are just outside easily acessed by train (service to and from manchester) and drop you off at hadfield station right on the edge of the penines short walk and its just wow  if you drive even better just go for a cruise on the woodhead.....

Or the Snake Pass, Derwent Water and Ladybower reservoirs are stunning, especially at first light if you are mobile.

Jump on the m62 towards leeds , come off at Saddleworth or the one after , awesome views!!!!!

Loads of places really around here , just use search on FlickRmaps.

Also north wales, some lovely coastal and mountain shots if you venture that way. Train goes from manchester all the way to holyhead!

Marple locks on the canal. Only 2 mins walk from Marple train station too.

I need to go back to the reservoirs. Last time I went on an 8 mile hike over a hill and round Ladybower the clouds were so low I was in them! Not much of a photgraphic experience that one.
