where to find models?

I know they are not just standing there ;). I should have rephrased my first post, what I meant it is that I expected them to get more money precisely for the fact that even though it looks like they are standing there, it is a hard job and it requires both talent and dedication.

Problem is Paula they are suffering the same as pro photographers are with every good looking girl (and even more not so good looking) thinking they can get modelling work simply by posting up some crap pic taken on their phone in a toilet!

you are eight. Although I do think that models have always been a struggling career (for painters before photography was even born) but I think now there is more delusions of possibilities of making it big as there are Supermodels.

I started out by offering free shoots to family and friends so as to get some experience. I found it better not to cast the freebie net too wide otherwise everyone will assume you'll do it for free. But it doesn't take long to get a few willing guinea pigs and family will often be more patient while you try things out. I've since been booked to come back for a paid shoot by a couple of family members so it did work for me :)

Well I just got lucky and found myself a gorgeous girl who's training as a MUA and is happy to more or less be my Muse as it gives her lots of opportunities to practice on herself with all the different looks.
