(I couldnt find a 'where to buy' section?)

Hi all,

Anyone aware of any great prices for the D7200 at the moment, body only or with one lens? (Will consider both)

Ideally i am looking new, but will consider used if its in mint condition with a very low shutter count. (Not grey!)

Thanks for the help,
Nick

But if you do decide on grey you can get say the body plus 18-140 for £842 from panamoz with 3 year warranty

My only reason was for updates and repairs, however it seems that alot of companies arent that bothered about grey items now!

I ordered on a tuesday from panamoz and it came friday, with tracking and email updates.very pleased with Panamoz service

Some good prices there guys thanks.
I will now have to find the best lens package out of the deals above for quality etc.
Some offer VR and some VRii for example.

I assume with the warrenty that its 2 years from the retailer and 1 from Nikon once its registered? Should this be done immediately or after the 2 years expires?

Thanks!

If you mean Panamoz then it's their warranty for the three years and it gets repaired in the UK, I believe HDEW are the same i.e. not a Nikon warranty but it gets repaired by a Nikon agent. :)

Sorry yes that was what i was referring to, i should have stated.
Thats fine, 3 years is a long warranty!

I will post up in the relevant section for advice on lenses. (as per below)

With regard to lenses, i would like something to handle every day 'walkabout' photography where zoom is not a massive requirement. This will include fishing photos, holiday snaps and general photos of family / friends.

I am also a massive Motorsport fan and would like a lens to be able to get decent photos of the cars. I visit a variety of circuits, so shooting distances will naturally vary - everything from Goodwood to Le Mans.

I know i am best of learning to use the camera and its features first, but i would rather buy some kit that performs the job i want than have generic kit style lenses that will be at the limits.I would rather not be buying new lenses 6 months down the line.

Hopefully the experience on here will enable me to pick up the right equipment.

Nikon 35mm 1.8 dx for walkabout and a Tamron 70-300 for Motorsport? Depends how big your budget is

I have been considering either a 35mm prime like you have suggested or a Tamrom 17-50 as i have read good things about those.

Is this what you were referring to?

That is in my budget yes. In the house we have two kit lenses i could borrow if needs be. Nikon 18-55 and 55-300.
Would the Tamron be better that the kit style Nikon?

Thanks,

Yeah that's the one. It depends which Nikon 70-300 you have.

the 35 is very good and i would say if you have the 55-300vr then no need to buy the tamron, rather save up to buy at some point if you find you want more reach perhaps the Nikon 300 F4 vr plus TC or sigma 150-600 or Nikon 200-500
