Hello

I am after an additional 2x 8 GB Scandisk extreme sd cards. I had order them from play.com however they have failed to deliver them and now refunded me.

Is there anywhere you pros use that i could purchase them from. I don't fancy paying the stupid prices at currys etc.

Many thanks.

Adam.

Thank you.

I'm just having a look through 7days shop. Appears to be a vast array to choose from.

I am assuming class 10 is the best and 30mbs is decent as that's what I got with my camera.

Is there much difference between the makes? Scandisk, duracell, Kingston etc.

You'll find most on here buy Sandisk..........seem to be the most reliable.

Amazon are the best/quickest suppliers and great with any warranty issues.

Check your camera can cope with class 10, i've read some have issues and many can't write that quickly so if the lower classes are cheaper you might as well buy them.

Yep, another Vote for Amazon,

I ordered the 16GB Sandisk Extreme Pro (95MB/s) and a 16Gb Sandisk Extreme HD Video (30MB/s) cards yesterday from them, the prices where really competitive, and obviously they are a very reliable source.. (They where cheaper then Play for those 2)

I usually buy from amazon just play we're cheaper when I put the order in February. Now they are more expensive, which may be why they didn't bother sending me the two I ordered.

Will grab some off amazon when I get back and fork out for recorded delivery this time.

I have a 500d and it came with a 4 gbclass 10 Scandisk extreme 30/Mbps card, which is why I was going to buy this make again. No idea if it accepts lower class.

The reason I am buying additional cards is due to our family holiday, we won't have a laptop to transfer them to so need additional space lol. At present I am shooting jpegs, so figured it would give me 2,500 photos.

If I buy the above 16gb cards obviously that doubles.

7 Day Shop or My Memory is where I get mine mate :)

I just ordered a 16GB 30MB/s Extreme from Amazon and a 45MB/s version turned up, win win win.

Personally, I try to avoid any of the channel island vendors* now, I've had too many cases where the post office lost the package. It happens occasionally with domestic mail, but it seems to happen more with stuff from Jersey/Guernsey.

IIRC The new VAT rules come into effect on the 1st, so the channel island places are going to have to bump their prices by 20% which is probably going to be the nail in the coffin for them anyway.

* Play, MyMemory, 7dayshop, GoMemory, etc.

Get all of my cards from 7dayshop. Their delivery times are quite variable, often taking several days, but the prices are just ridiculously low so I live with it.

I use Amazon now. Have had a few from Premier Ink and Picstop too. Haven't used 7 day shop but there are a couple of threads rumbling away on here at about suspected fake Duracell cards from 7DS HERE

You may even get lucky and receive the same 'free upgrade' to the 45MB/s one that I did :p

Bought a 16Gb off amazon, they sent me an 8Mb, complained and they sent me a replacement 16Mb, another 8mb turned up! Complained again and got refund.
Win win:thumbs:, but now I always use 7day( till vat bites )

Digital Depot are good peeps! If they don't have it, then I order from MyMemory.

7dayshop girl here, never had a problem with things not turning up or cards being fake **touch wood**

normally order cf cards via hawks photo video and have always had them within 2 to 3 working days - i normally get hama 200x 30mb/s cards as they seem better value than sandisk mainly

I also use Amazon and always get Sandisk.

Like others have mentioned, the two 30mbs versions I ordered this week were 45mbs when they arrived.
