Aquired a Mamiya RB67 Pro S and was wondering where the best place to get film for it is?
Also...ermm..what type of film does it take.

7 day shop for choice but not speed, AG photographic or the evil bay. Sorry don't know what film it takes but Google is your friend. :D

120, otherwise known as medium format, AKA rollfilm. There are a number of internet outlets that sell it and even a few proper shops. It has a paper backing that's fed onto a take up spool. When the film is finished this is removed and developed and the first spool swapped to the take up position.

If you need things a bit quicker than 7-dayshop, then you could try mailshots. It takes 120 roll film, should get 10 pictures to a roll. Another source for cheap film on ebay is this... The 2 packs I ordered arrived in under a week - quicker than most orders I've had from 7day

I'm pretty sure that Ektacolor is what they call Portra in Korea/Japan. Haven't shot any of it yet so can't post anything for proof sadly

Craig - I've got some 120 film thats out of date which you can have for the cost of postage if your interested.

I think I have about half a dozen rolls of various Fuji, will have to check when I get home from work later.

Tony, any chance i can take you up on that offer? It's going to good use and I promise to post up the results too...

Hi Dave

I've checked and it appears I had more than I thought I had. I'll keep some rolls aside to see if Craig wants them but how does 3 rolls of Fuji Provia and 3 rolls of Fuji Velvia (the original) sound?

Sounds perfect and much appreciated!

By the looks of my film I shot today I need more practice manually focusing, three are o.o.f. not good since I'm shooting my whole unit on film!

just to say that the film arrived, thanks tony! il be using it next week on my holiday to cape verde :)

What he said - ordered mine and paid on the 18th - dropped onto the mat this morning

Superb pricing too, that's *free* delivery so less that £1.25 a roll!

Good isn't it! - i just wish I had more chance to use some of it. Looks like i'm going to get a bit less time on here for a while - my Dad took a fall on Saturday, and managed to break his hip-bone - as I type this, he's in Theater getting the bionic replacement fitted (i'm on here trying to distract myself from sitting and fretting) , so between hospital visits, I'm going to lose pretty much all my shooting time for a while - then when he comes out, he's probably gonna need quite a bit more close care than he did previously.

Oh well - at least the films in the freezer, so it'll not go off

Could do some xray shots maybe?

Hope all's well with him though, don't forget you need a little me (well, you) time now and then.

 at the x-ray shots :)

I'm sure he'll be fine once they've got the operation done - he's been in since saturday, and keeps getting bounced on the operations list for people in car accidents etc. Only thing he's complaining about is they keep him on "nil-by-mouth" while on the list, so he's had 2 days of wake up at 7am and have your first meal at 6pm - he asked 'em yesterday if it wasn't a bit late to be observing Ramadan

I will vouch for Discount Films Direct, run by a very decent chap.

By the way , I guess you guys know about this site?-
