Well I'm now 99% sure this is the lens to get.

Ideally I'd like to get second hand on here but until I have the cash in my hand (should be tomorrow) I'll hold before putting up a wanted.

In the meantime where would you get one from - until recently I would have thought Panamoz to be the stock answer but with their recent turn toward insanity I think I'll steer clear.
 
Thank CPB are very good and now include ebay\imports which brings the price down a bit more (useful on international warranty items), but you never know someone may have found one even cheaper so worth an ask I always think and thank you very much for replying :)

Very true, CPB is used as a good yardstick for the cheapest available price, however there can be exceptions where you will find a UK retailer cheaper, I have informed them of cheaper prices on two occasions. CPB have to first ask the retailer if they want to be included in the rankings.
 
Mal - can I ask where those were so I can check and compare?

ukaskew - thanks for the link, but their second hand prices are a bit more than an imported new one and a fair bit more than on here (although that is to be expected they are after all a business!)
 
Well, cash in hand now and a wanted ad up :)
