Where is your ultimate place to take photographs?

just had a quick shufty at your website....have you been to the Lewis's in Leeds or is that in Liverpool?
Liverpool, that one... link.

Yes, ISS is in orbit! Don't you read the news?! It would be amazing. I'd do the daily life of the spacemen, and then of course rad shots of the earth and stars from space!!

Would depend on what I was shooting.

Wildlife = Somewhere in Finland probably, trying to get shots of Lynx.

Landscapes = So many places to choose from, but my parents are going to Yosemite later this year and it looks pretty damn nice there.

Portraits = Anywhere where there would be plenty of emotions and stories, so somewhere like Afghanistan.

Insect macrography = Indonesia or Philipines.

:)

dont read the news much...have you done any urban exploration whilst people have been working in the building? then taken pictures of them as they work etc??....i suppose i would like to take photos anywhere thats warm at the moment cos its soooooooooooo bloody cold ....so somewhere near the great barrier reef for now..

So far:

1. Kauai

2. New York

3. Borneo

Yes - check these grimey miners getting cleaned off! This building was swelteringly hot, as it's heated by two massive boilers.

That was a semi-permission outing though. I've seen workers when I've explored live sites, but I don't photograph them. Not really fair, being that I'm not supposed to be there.

I've been all over photographing, and New Zealand was heaven to me, with all the lovely landscape etc. (Particularly Tongararo Crossing... if I spelt that right!)

But I would love to go out to India and do something out there. More for the people and colours etc.

Egypt has been by far my most favorite place in the world to photograph.... india and china are next on my list.

thats such a good photo :-) love it...:-)

The Great Wall Of China was pretty impressive, I might get some photos up onto here at some point, not for critique, just to show you what I mean!! :)

List is endless for me!! Perhaps back home to North Wales, over 25 years since i left and i still regard it as home

Cornwall because it's stunning,West Coast of Scotland....

Futher afield Yosemite, Krabi-Thailand

Great photos are stumbled upon so anywhere I stumble ;)

The ultimate for me at the moment would be to photograph the cross country event in the 2012 Olympics as an accredited 'tog, I'm working towards it but whether I'll ever get there is another matter.....

My places to visit would be

Area 51 in Nevada..... with access all areas -
Reason - Just to see what the Americans are hiding IF anything.

New Zealand..... land & air -
Reason, Ive never been and it looks beautiful in pitures

Highlands & Islands of Scotland ..... land, boat & air
Reason - I done it Solo a few tours by car, just drove just to see where the roads take me last trip was brilliant

China....... Unrestricted
Reason - I would like just to walk the wall and camp along its length exploring

America A 6mth tour in a car, laptop cameras and a credit card...
Reason ...... Done this before a few times and it was brillliant, and I`ll do it again again just drove the highways too see places Ive heard of, and just to see where the the roads took me

International Space Station `in Orbit` for a week or two -
Reason - To take millions of photosgraphs of our Wonderfull fragile Earth... the pictures would just be out of this world

Cambodia
Reason - The history, country etc - places like the Bayon Temple

Not in any order and with an unlimited credit card where I would not have to pay the bill

Agree with that one - there are great pics to be taken everywhere!

I would love to take pics of any dramatic rocky landscapes, especially if they have lots of interesting crooked trees - that would be the cherry on top of the cake! So I guess the Scottish islands would be a good place to go...and lots of other places... New Zealand is near the top of my list and Iceland - oooooooooooh I'd love to go to Iceland - so much variety and so many exciting geographical features for the geography geek within me ;)

I'd also love to go to Venice again now I have my SLR...and Paris...

mmmm I want to go round the world and photograph everywhere! Though I'm pretty happy with my local adventures with MK - there are lots fo beautiful places in the north east - we are lucky! :)

Gods own place the Yorkshire dales /coast you could spend a lifetime and still not see it all
GWH

For me it has to be the Galapagos Islands. Per square Metre there is more wildlife/plant life that just isn't found anywhere else on the planet.

Besides, I like the idea of photographing wild penguins without freezing my nuts off

I went a couple of years ago before I got into photography, so back to Yellowstone National Park for me.

This time last year I went and if I could go back I would at the drop of a hat!

INDIA!!!

Beautiful, magical, dilapidated, rich and poor.

Architecture, landscapes and people - all beautiful!

I'd love to go back to south India and revisit, with time on my side, places I was only able to skim through when on a small group holiday. Also when I was last there I was shooting slides and had to ration film so time wasn't the only restriction.

If I had to pick only one place, then undoubtedly Madurai, the ancient temple city in Tamil Nadu.

Just give me a hillside in the Lake District I've been a lot of places but the Lakes still does it for me.

Have to say for me personally it's underwater. the sea all around the world offers fantasic oppertunities for photographs whether its divers sharks, fish or your close up macro of the mini creatures. i've been lucky enough to do central america, caribean, phillipines and most of Europe and there is no where better for me...
