Thanks Might be easy this one

Housmans Engine House
Bodmin Moor

Wasn't at all easy!
I knew I'd been there, a long time ago, and have been racking my brain trying to think where it was.
Eventually worked out where we were staying and where we went on our days out.

Trumpton Town

L'al Ratty?

And that looks like River Esk at the front.

Spot on - your turn.
Makes a lovely day out that - walk down to the coast over the fells - a beer in Ravenglass and return on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway "L'al Ratty".
The open top carriages make taking photos really easy; unless it's raining - which it was...

Of course it is. And what's the col in between them called?

Obvious innit?

Yup - over to you!

The incredible Weston Beach Race
1000 motorbikes racing for a couple of hours over through rows of crowd control barriers. The carnage is as bad as the worst you could possible imagine.
I got a piccy of a bike in a rut so deep that when it collapsed only the handlebars were left above the surface.
Plenty of shots of hundreds of frustrated riders waiting to get past accident bottlenecks and quite a few of accidents.
I asked a paramedic where the best place to stand was, and he pointed to a 4ft high telephone pole explaining that when it all went wrong the barriers wouldn't help much, but the post was 'properly' safe.
It's VERY photogenic and you don't need media bibs to get REALLY close to the action.

You want to try climbing in there. Some of the fiercest slate climbs anywhere. b****r all for protection apart from some strategically placed bolts.

This one might be a bit harder....

Yay, at last, we've got a toughie!!!
I'll post some clues here at random intervals until someone surrenders or guesses it.

1) Julia Bradbury woz ere.
2) Alfred Wainwright woz ere.
3) Bang in the middle of some of the best mountain biking, fell walking and fell running country north of M62. (Is there anything worthwhile south of the M62?)
4) Close by the main road route to the "honeypot" town in the area, but the grockles and innits never go more than 200 yards from the car park so miss things like this.
5) Connected to a very old industry, with origins possibly as far back as Roman times.

Oh dear, looks like we've got a sticky here!! Next clue
6)A very well known bridge near here, which gives it's name to the general area.

7) If OP has done the research for his upcoming holiday properly this should be close to the top of his list.

Near enough. Original photo is Blakethwaite Smelt Mill at the top end of Gunnerside. Second photo is Surrender Bridge.

Phew, that was a struggle!

Google is a wonderful thing ;)

Give me a few minutes to find another tricky one. Of course now I've said that I bet it is guessed straight away.

Oh Oh. I've got a similar picture right here!!

Not going to take part though. Think I've done enough damage already!!!

I am thinking either:

Railway Museum in York (but can't work out where it would be)
Somewhere with some sort of George Stevenson connection (killingworth, birthplace, ?)

Ha, actually a bit of googling gives the answer, but that feels like cheating :p so will see if anyone else gets it.

You've got it Steve. Its the weather vane from the Pockerley Waggonway at the museum.

Tom was close as there is definitely a George Stevenson connection.
