Your eyes are as bad as your guess!!! No HDR here!! :p  (I just burn't the tops of the trees trying to darken the sky haha)

Not in Yorkshire.

I do believe its on a National Trust site though!!

My last one was way too easy...

Here's an intriguing building built into a cliff.
For scale - there is a rope hanging out the doorway...

That'll be Culver Hole, on the Gowan peninsula.

I'm keen to get this thread going again :bonk:
Since Lyton seems to have disappeared and I posted the last image; I thought I'd take the liberty of posting another.

All my other locations have been got very fast.
See how you get on with this moody landscape.

Lost count of the number of times I've driven down that road. Didn't even need to Google it!!!

This is world famous, possibly the only one of it's kind in existence. Dates from at least the 8th century, possibly earlier.

More than 36 hours and no-one has got it? Try Google with a couple of obvious words. Get your Black Sabbath albums out, this is on the cover of one of them. Want another clue? Nettle Beer!

I remember visiting this place as a nipper in about 1962, I think it's south lake district but don't recall exactly. Isn't googling it cheating a bit?

Fair enough with me, as I forgot to come back and post one.

#493, is it me or do they look like some kind of coffin / sarcophagus? (I must confess I couldn't resist and cheated, however I will not spoil it for others!)

Lynton - I say go for it - as long as you have an image ready for posting ;)
I lived in South Lakes for 5 years and don't recognise that location; and I'm not a Sabbath fan...
Looking forward to the answer

Thank the Lord, or Allah, as the fancy takes you. St. Patrick's Chapel. 8th century monastery/church/chapel. Apparently these type of graves have never been found anywhere else in the whole wide world.

And Nettle Beer? Heysham is famous for brewing it. Non alcoholic and very refreshing.

chuffing heck i have never seen this or half of the others i must get out more

I have no idea where it is, but it looks like a sweet location :)

Still no clue despite scrolling through all the awards you've received on flickr. :(

Wild stab in the dark: Borley Rectory?

Can somebody take my turn please? Off out until this evening - Thanks

I knew yesterday when I looked, where it was, but had no pic to post, so didnt answer

That makes two of us. I replied by PM. But I may have found one to set for the time being. Not too difficult, and (shamefully) taken by my 12yr old son.
