Where is this? Just for fun.

wow, will post one up in the morning, got nothing on laptop :(

Yeah my life is that sad that I look forward to playing this game:nuts:

It's Lake District. Northern end. Difficult to identify with the tree hiding everything, but it looks like Grasmoor in the background, which makes it NW Lakes. Is it the bridge at the bottom end of Buttermere, where Buttermere Dubs flows out towards Crummock Water?

Must agree - it's not remotely famous!!!

infamous for the landscape shots in the area though :p well done on getting it so damn quick! was trying to do something a little harder.

Gonna give up guessing now as I have b****r all to post.

I gave up guessing because they were getting too obscure, and I too was running out of stuff to post.

I've been going to The Lakes nearly every weekend for 40 years, so it wasn't really that hard.

Try this.

A crappy shot on a dilapidated P&S taken on a mountain bike ride.

Gibralter somewhere then:shrug:

Now starting to think I probably haven't seen it.

Since when was Gib part of the UK? It is an "overseas territory"

UK is Eng, Sco, Wal and NI
GB is Eng, Sco, Wal.

No not Ulverston.

Where does Gib come in? Can't see a reference to that.

Clue...it's in Lancashire. Less than two miles from a major road. Visible to over half the population of the county. Visited by many many folk every day - horse riders, dog walkers, joggers, mtbers etc.

It stands out like a sore thumb!

Yes, there's so many round there, and I don't know all their names.

Fair point - I had to look it up too.

However - I think I pass the baton to Just Dave as he's the first one to quote the valley name and this dam is at the entrance to the valley.

Google for "Caban Coch Dam" to see more images.
I thought it was pretty good when I was there, but This one is mindblowing

Thats at the bottom of ladybower (that area anyway) below the 2 big drain holes!

as it is hot and the weekend as much as i need a clue, maybe wait till others are about.
