I am not interested in developing myself, so send my films to AW as it offers digital scans back to my inbox, are there any other companies that do the same but have faster turnaround.

Film processing.co.uk on the south coast are pretty quick. Filmdev are reasonably quick too. I use Filmdev most of the time.

Snaps Photo Services, Bournemouth. They do scans but I get prints instead. I sometimes dev my own B&W.

I have used Come Through Lab in Manchester extensively over the past year. I often had C41 scans sent to me on the same day they received the film. B&W typically 24-48 hours, E6 & ECN2 just over a week. The negatives always come back spotless. I have had a couple of hiccups that aren't unusual with labs but they really went out of their way to make things right.

I've used Filmsafe and the developing and scanning, while not lightning fast, was quick enough... been two weeks and still awaiting my negatives though

I use Photo Factory in Birmingham (mail order via ebay). They are very fast and helpful. Good for C41 35mm, APS and 120. 110 scans are disappointing. I only use the basic scan quality as my photos are only used in videos which don't need higher resolution.

ECN2 films I have done by Filmprocessing.co.uk I like Vision3 a great deal but development is expensive.

Black and white I do myself. I could do C41 and ECN2 but frankly can't be bothered. If I coukd find a good B&W service at a fair price I'd send that away as well!

I've done an extensive search based on price

not done any develop, scan to CD or thumb drive yet; so can not compare quality

has anyone used PHOTO HIPPO Lab based in Burnley......?

Did you ever try them??

I'm thinking of using Photo Hippo to for black and white as it works out a lot cheaper as their standard scan sizes are mediums in other processors. £8.50 a roll instead of about £12+ so quite a saving. I've got a lot of black and white I've not bothered using as dev and scan costs are so much more than C41.
