Hi all, sorry if this has been covered before.
I've got some 12x8 photos I want to frame, and am wondering where you get your frames from? I'm looking at 14x11 frames with 12x8 mounts.
Thanks

I got a whole load of Ribba frames from ikea. Cheap and pretty good for my use. If I was selling the product however I'd want something a bit better.

Is that to hold a 12x8 photo? If so, what size Ribba did you use, and did you have to buy seperate mounts or were the included ones adequate?

Why not have 15x11 frames with a 1.5 inch border mount to even it all up.
Have a look here

There's loads of sizes, I have from 9x9in ish to a 40x50cm one. They all come with mounts which seem reasonably good quality. Have a search on the ikea web site for ribba and you'll see all the sizes available. I got a couple I will use with out a matt, and I am considering a custom matt for the 40x50 depending if I like the 4x5 crop on the image I want to frame.

I had a look on your ebay store briefly, but didn't spot much, although as I said, it was brief. I'm after black frames and white mounts.

I'll have a look next time I head out to Bristol, and see what they have in there.

I was in the Range store earlier and was quite surprised at the quality of their frames - corners matched well and seemed snug. Afraid I didn't look too closely at them since we've got plenty of frames "in stock" so I wasn't actively shopping for them but their prices are usually pretty good. Seemed to be a reasonable choice of sizes and styles both simple frames and those with mounts.

Worth having a look to see what they've got. Not sure if there's an Athena shop near you but they might be worth a look (as might Wilkinson's).

Anything to save a few quid (apart from grey imports and 3rd party inkls!)

Don't forget Hobbycraft as well

I was impressed with The Range and their, well, range! Lots of framing options.
