I'm looking for a bit of help, support and guidance really with the equipment I have.

At present I have a Nikon D70 which does what I need it to (I think). I bought the original kit with the body and 28-80mm lens and a little while ago added the 18-55mm lens thinking this to be quite an upgrade to the 28-80 lens, which I think I've proved to myself is not.

I am wondering if I should add a wide angle lens to the 18-55mm or replace this with an 18-105mm VR lens as a starting point and sell both the 18-55 & 28-80mm and buy a 50mm prime lens... and at some point in the future add a wide angle such as the Tamron 12-24 or Sigma 10-20mm.

Any pointers much appreciated. :help:

what do you take pictures of?

what are the problems with your current lenses?

how much is the budget?

what do you want to take pictures of that you cant with your current kit?

I take pictures of allsorts to be honest, all of them not brilliantly :D More importantly, I would like to get into landscapes, and the like though.

The only issue I have with my current kit is I don't have VR on the 18-55mm lens I bought.

I am looking at possibly £200 quid initially, and then maybe more investment on top of that

I guess your final question is the killer. Is there something specific, I guess maybe not. Are theremore optinosm by adding more kit, then yeah maybe there is.... :)

Thanks for the answers :)

i would have thought at 50mm, you should be getting shutterspeeds for landscapes over 1/50th, but i dont know much bout landscapes.
