Where can you insure / buy warranty for a preowned camera?

I've had a look on protect my bubble.com but they only allow you to register new items less than 12 months old, bought from an official retailer

I'm pretty sure most dedicated photo insurance company would. Maybe read the T&C's of photoguard and the likes.

I've recently claimed for a second hand 7D body on my insurance with Photoguard. They asked for either a receipt, bank transfer proof etc but I'd swapped the 7D for my 60D kit so I sent proof of the receipt of the 60D and a printout of the classified thread and they were happy with that as proof. Once they had all the proof they payment was okayed and they did a bank transfer direct to the repair centre. All in all it was a relatively pain free.

I've spoke with photoguard, and they don't insure for faults / failures

and minimum claim amount is £100, with an excess of £50

You have to weigh up the cost of insurance vs the value of your camera.

Most insurance has an excess and you will find that this is often nearly as much as buying another 350D.
