Definitely re-do yourself. It really is easy.

It is certainly easy to do the materials are easy to find and tacks or a staple gun is about all you need.
But there are upholsters all over the country , if the seats are the inset sort , on their own fame they will only need the frames not the chairs.
Google upholsterers Cambridge And you will turn up more than a few.

Really don't fancy doing it myself, and I have already replaced one a few years ago, got a seat from the place we got the chairs from (not there any more) and it was just a case of screwing it on.

That sort are easier still to reupholster. it will probably be easier to take them off and deliver them to the upholsterer to work on. .. better ones will be ply wood others might be chipboard. good quality and antique ones will just be a frame with webbing... which are far more comfortable.
