Why not simply upload it to your current webhosting?
I just created a folder called files for this purpose, then you can point people to www.yourdomain.co.uk/files/yourfile.pdf ?

Open office is free and you can export to PDF

you can also save as pdf in office 2007 if you have it, there is an addon available free from microsoft
