Where are you buying your equipment from?

Camera's and Lens from my local dealer, as this will keep him in business and he looks after his customers. Battery's and Memory cards etc. from the internet as prices are so good.

Hardly get any time to physically shop these days so it's mainly internet; MPB, Aperture, Park... although I do like these shops that actually have a person on the other end you can talk to. Next best thing to being there :)

The internet, like most people do. Doing my bit to destroy the highstreet.

Internet as I have bought all my gear via the UK. It is much cheaper than buying it here in France.

I bought a lens from my local Jessops on Wedneday, and a lens via Dyxum forums last night.

Shops nearly everytime Mifsuds, Robert White, Jessops, LCE, I have had excellent service from all of them.

Internet as the only shop I have local is jessops and for nikon stock very poor and ridiculously expensive

My last biggish purchase was my GF-1 and a couple of lenses from my local high street independent (Bass and Bligh in Harrogate), they were surprisingly competitive on price (after a bit of haggling) and the warm glow you get from supporting a local dealer is priceless! :)

I buy were I can get the best price.

Mostly, via the internet. That includes various forums, ebay and any online stores doing a good deal.

Usually shop locally when there's a special deal to be had.

A bit of everywhere really, I tend to buy bodies from physical shops for the pleasure of being able to walk back in with it if it's faulty, lenses physical shops mostly too new and used ( I do like Wilkinsons), umbrellas etc FITP, filters Warehouse Express or Calumet (I've had some bad fakes from Ebay). I've bought bags from all over the place both new and used.

I don't have any vested interest in Jessops, but I'd just like to say you can get 4% Quidco cashback even if you wish to pick up instore, which brings their prices from being slightly over best internet in some cases, to the best prices available anywhere on stacks of Nikon stuff.

[Just checked a selection of items, Nikon 35mm AF-S, D700, D5000, all come in cheapest @ Jessops if you use Quidco.]

Internet camera shops (that have high street shops as well) or from fellow TP'rs & Amazon as they have a cracking returns service ...

Only reason being work during the week so deliveries are made on the Saturday (when I'm not working)...

Here mainly lately although have used Amazon, Currys and Jessops too

Mostly online from places like Mifsuds or Clifton Cameras (very good service from both), because there's not a great choice locally, but I noticed the Jessops/Quidco link a few weeks ago and was pleased with the price of a SB-900 that I could order online to qualify for the 4% Quidco cashback and collect the next morning.

How does this work (not being a member of Quidco, I'm confused) - whose website do you order from to get the cashback?

Amazon (great service)
Ebay
Best Cameras.co.uk

Cameraworld
Jacobs
Jessops
(all of the above "over the counter" and online)
few other traditional camera shop, albeit via their websites
dyxum
here
ebay

Probably bought more via dyxum than anywhere else.

Big stuff from the High Street where I can see, handle and face-to-face, other stuff on the Internet.

I have had very good service from SRS Microsystems.

T4 cameras in Swindon, really good service, and they dont try to over sell you kit you dont need, when I first went there they could have sold me anything and I would not have know, but the sales guy Richard was very good
