Does anyone know when it is, i'm referring to the clothes shop, i'm guessing January at some point but anyone know which date. I need some new clothes and don't want to pay full price for them ;)

Dont they normally kick off on boxing day or something daft?
 
I remember the last Next sale up this way, I think it opened at like 5am!
 
yup, usually 1/2 o clock on boxing day morning.

Always amazes me how people que for ages to buy the clothes they didn't like in the summer. :shrug:
 
Yep, usually Boxing Day with some sad people queueing from silly a.m.
 
My ex-boyfriends family used to treat it like a life or death event - theyd all set the alarm clocks for about 4am on boxing day and be first in line without fail! now i love shopping but really?!!
 
Is it a good or bad thing that I have never been in a NEXT shop, or have ever wanted to?
 
i usually only buy clothes once a year, not sure if i will make it in on Boxing day, i may still be pithed from crimbo day :beer:
 
Well as far as i know the sale goes on for at least a week...iv been in the past way after boxing day and got some good stuff! :D
 
I can't stand sales shopping. It's like a big jumble sale you have to rummage through. My motto is 'if I didn't like it when it was full price, I won't like it any better half price'. Shopping is a big no-no for me from now til after the sales. I can't stand busy shops :annoyed:
 
Sales are not what they used to be, most are all a big con anyway.Look for the tiny card saying that item was for sale at (one) of their stores at the full price for a period of 28? days in the previous 6? months, (or something like that). Even M&S resort to such practises. If it's not that con more often than not it is a "special purchase".
Me, I never buy from the sales!.

I think the next sale is pretty good actually despite what people have said above, there are some real bargins to be had, though don't spend time looking for a suit :insert embarrased emoticon: you might end up having 3 pairs of trousers, and 3 suit jackets and none of them match, not that i've done that of course! :nuts:

Apparently it starts at around 5am on Thursday 27th Dec. According to my nextasaleoholic wife, opening times vary between branches.

Unfortunately i did not see this post until now, got up at 6.30 today, got dressed had some brekkie, defrosted the car, drove to cambridge, got parked, walked into the shopping centre, and wow, BIG NEXT SALE starts Thursday 27th Dec, oh funkum, i thought to myself :(

Nevermind, have now been up ever since, washed the car, done some gardening, hoovered the house and made some lunch, and it's only just about time most people get up on Boxing day, ah well, i guess i'll be ready for tomorrow now :sulk:
